Summer Party Ready

Another outfit post shot on the streets of Leeds, I think I should just move there as I spend half my life there. My visit at the weekend was for an exciting Summer Party with La Redoute. I thought I would show you what I wore to the party. Don’t worry, I full post on all the happening’s at the Summer Soiree of the year will be coming soon.

I decided to wear this old Jones & Jones number which I bought a couple of years ago. I’ve featured this style of dress quite a few times, It’s called the Audrey I believe. It’s a super cute dress and I thought it was perfect for a Summer Party.

Dress – Jones & Jones

Bag – Chanel

The Bourjois Foundation You NEED in your beauty bag!

The Bourjois Foundation You NEED in your beauty bag!

Can you believe that my most used foundation across the board whether we’re looking at high-end or drugstore is by Bourjois. I thought it was about time I share my secret and spill which Bourjois foundation you NEED in your beauty bag. The Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation is an absolute must. It’s important that you pick up the Serum version of this as I just think it applies so much better! I’ve been using this foundation for as long as I can remember and it comes everywhere with me.

The Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation is a beloved product in my make-up bag. It’s everything I personally want in a foundation. I use the shade Vanilla which seems to be a pretty good match for me all year round. Even in Summer it works well with bronzer to warm up slightly. The lightweight formula effortlessly blends into the skin, creating a smooth and even canvas and I’d say that it keeps you looking pretty natural.

Another noteworthy aspect of this foundation is its long-lasting formula. It stays put for hours without the need for constant touch-ups. I’ve worn this for work, night outs and abroad when the temperatures are soaring. It actually promises up to 16 hours of wear and I don’t think I would disagree. As i said, I use the shade Vanilla which is one the paler tones but their shade range is pretty good.

I am so obsessed with this foundation, I literally have at least five bottles in my beauty drawers. You never know when you may need all that foundation. It’s safe to say that I’ll be using this one for years to come. Even if it’s just using all my bottles! Have you used this foundation from Bourjois? Do you have any other Bourjois faves?

My Must Have Sol De Janeiro Products

My Must Have Sol De Janeiro Products

I think it’s no secret on my blog how much I’m a huge fan of the Sol De Janeiro products. I’ve been using products from the brand now for SIX years when I was hauling them back from America. Luckily the brand is stocked in the UK now and I can pick up some of my must haves from Notino. I thought I’d share which Sol De Janeiro products you need to try!

Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

Of course, I have to mention the OG that is the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. This was the product which I picked up in America and became obsessed with the scent. The cream helps firm and smooth your thighs and bum. I find the cream so hydrating, rich and the scent is obviously incredible. I think this is the product you get hooked on and then expand to the others. Especially if you are a fan of that coconutty, vanilla scent, you’ll want it in everything.

Brazilian Milky Leave-In Conditioner

This is actually a recent favourite of mine. I personally have never really used a leave-in conditioner before in fear that it would make my hair greasy or something. The Brazilian Milky Leave-In Conditioner protects your hair from heat, frizz, helps detangle and also hydrates (in a non-greasy way). I’m a big fan of using it on my day 2 hair to style and give it a refresh and of course, it smells amazing.

Brazilian Crush Cheirosa ’62 Body Mist

You’ll have probably seen the Sol De Janeiro Body Mist all over TikTok. If you are a girly who loves the OG scent or just loves that typical holiday scent, this is for you. The Body Mist is long lasting and just smells like an absolute dream. I’ve just also picked up the pink one which is from the Bom Dia range so I’ll have to let you know how I get on with that one.

Brazilian Shampoo & Conditioner

I’m adding the Shampoo & Conditioner on here although it’s probably not my ultimate must have. I do think you can find more affordable options but I do love treating myself to the Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Shampoo & Conditioner every now and then. In particular, I think these are great for holidays as they are hydrating, great if your hair is damaged from the sunlight.

There’s actually a few things I’ve not tried but they are on my list to get picked up. I’m sure there will be another post of first impressions of this. Their Shimmering Oil, Hair Treatment and Deodorant are three things I’m going to pick up soon!

Have you tried anything from Sol De Janeiro?
