My Sapphire Wishlist with Diamond Treats
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, right? I don’t usually wear a lot of jewellery, I like to keep my accessories quite simple. However, It’s good to have those one or two pieces that can really make your outfit stand out and make a statement. Whilst I do love buying the odd piece of costume jewellery from the high street, nothing compares to a sparkling diamond. Buying the right items can really be a great investment financially and to your wardrobe.
I’ve been browsing the Diamond Treats website who have an amazing selection of glistening jewels. They are a UK based brand which sells incredibly beautiful pieces such as rings, earrings, pearls and even cufflinks for men. After having a look throughout the website, I have a huge wishlist as long as my arm. Who can blame me though, everything is so bloomin’ sparkly and pretty! I’m literally like a magpie when it comes to anything sparkly.
What I noticed on the website is that they have a large selection of different gemstones, so you can even match your stone to your birth month. I’ve got to be honest, I’ve never been that thrilled with the Peridot gemstone for the month of August. It’s sort of a lime green shade which is an acquired taste that doesn’t really match my taste or personality. I’ve always been jealous of my Mum who was born in the month of April. She is a straight up diamond kinda gal. My personal favourites are Sapphire Jewellery and Blue Topaz. They are both such beautiful shades of blue.
I’ve picked out some of my favourite pieces from the website which made it onto my wish list. A girl can dream, right? If only I had a spare money tree or had recently won the lottery!
Whenever I think of the Blue Sapphire gemstone, it always reminds me of that beautiful engagement ring of The Duchess of Cambridge. There are some stunning rings on the website including some very similar designs. Not only is it such a beautiful octagonal cut, you’ll basically feel like royalty wearing it!
I honestly think that you can never go wrong with a pair of sparkly diamond earrings. You don’t even have to spend too much money on them but they can really stand out and make your eyes pop. To mix it up a little you can add a gemstone such as the Blue Sapphire to add a little colour but it’s the 18k white gold diamond halo that’ll really bring the sparkle to the ensemble.
To complete the set, I had a little look at Sapphire pendants. There are so many different shapes and cuts but I was drawn to this pendant which I thought was very delicate and simple. Something you could wear on a daily basis without looking too over the top.
I’d love to hear which pieces in this post are your favourites. Also, Do you know what your birthstone is & are you happy with it?
Stars in Spring with Boohoo.com
It has been a little while since my last outfit post hasn’t it? I’m not sure if it’s the warm weather or that I’m loving all the new Spring clothing but I’ve finally come out of hibernation. I’m doing outfit posts again! On Thursday, I spent the day in York and I thought it would be the perfect time to wear my new dress from Boohoo.com. York is my favourite place in the sunshine and Minster Gate provided a very lovely backdrop for these photos.
I’m a little bit in love with these dress from Boohoo, the star print trend is so cute! It’s a perfect transitional piece for Spring and as the weather gets a little warmer, I can finally get my (very pale) legs out! Pass me the fake bake! As I was having a chilled day of shopping and lots of food, I paired the dress with my Vans but you could easily pair it with heels to dress up for date night or a special occasion. This dress would also look amazing at a festival with a pair of wellies. The best thing about this dress?

Hopefully, if the weather stays looking lovely, I’ll be out doing a lot more outfit posts. I’m really loving all the Spring trends on the high street at the moment. There are too many cute pieces and I can’t resist picking up a few items for my European trip next month!
The Dress fit for every occasion
Do you have that one dress that you always reach for? Whether it’s a family affair, a wedding or a night out with the girls, this one dress has your back. This is mine, which i’d say is the most worn item in my wardrobe. I bought this dress from Topshop around two years ago after spotting Beyoncé in it and it was sold out everywhere! I managed to track it down in my size and half price! It was fate.
I wore this a couple of months ago to my Brother’s wedding and I’m finally sharing a few photo’s. I was originally going to wear a different dress that I’d had for ages but it didn’t match my new shoes! This is where that one dress that is perfect for every occasion was drafted in! I paired it with these lace-up heels from Faith, they were surprisingly very comfortable!

Dress – Topshop
Shoes – Faith
Chanel Bag – Uncloset
I really should have been more prepared and shopped around for something dress. I usually shop in Coast for outfits for weddings, they have a great selection of occasion wear! I’m a little bit obsessed with all the tulle skirts and embellished tops they have in at the moment! Everything in there makes you feel like a princess and it’s such good quality.
Investing in Fashion
As I get older, I’ve found myself investing in certain fashion pieces over fast fashion. Whilst I love styling up different trends which are easily accessible from the high street. I really do believe spending a little bit more money on high-quality items is very much worth it. Especially if that item will last you a lifetime.
I thought I would put together a little guide of items I personally think are very much worth investing in. I’m 22 years old and I’m not made of money, so I only do own a few items from my own guide so this is sort of a life wishlist for myself too.
Handbags
I’m obviously going to start with handbags as they are my thing. Since I was about 13, I was completely obsessed with handbags and dreamed of owning a designer bag. However, I spent a lot of my pocket money on cheap handbags. The handles would break or the lining would tear after a month. Not Good!
In the past couple of years, I have acquired a couple of different high-end bags which are made with high-quality leather. I can honestly see them lasting a lifetime, and they are guaranteed to maintain a healthy resale value due to this. More often than not, high-end bags come with at least a one year guarantee as well as really great customer service which will offer repairs if anything did ever go wrong. My advice would be to choose a classic style and try and stay away from the IT bag of the moment. Pick something that you think you will always wear, even when you are 40. If you can afford it, go for a Birkin handbag from Hermes. I’ve read they are a better investment than gold!

Jewellery
I’m not sure if it comes across in my outfit posts but I don’t tend to wear a lot of jewellery. I try and keep It simple, I always go for wearing silver and I’ve been fortunate to have quite a few pieces from Tiffany & Co which I hope to keep collecting in the future. Jewellery is always going to be a good investment, especially if diamonds are involved.

Timepieces
Everyone needs a watch in their life and I dream of one day owning a Rolex watch. The likelihood of this ever happening is pretty slim but maybe I have seen some pretty amazing second hand watches which are slightly cheaper. Luxury watches are another statement item which are such a great investment to last a lifetime.

Trench Coat
I guess owning a trench coat isn’t on everyone’s wishlist but I think owning a really decent coat in general, is important. Something made from high-quality material that fits well and is durable would be worth investing in. I personally would love to own a Burberry trench coat. I’ve eyed them up in the sales and at Bicester Village before. It’s definitely a piece that would last you a really long time and the style is so timeless and stylish.
Leather Jacket
At the moment, I am currently looking for the perfect leather jacket. I’ve bought quite a few faux leather jackets in the past costing about £60 per jacket which the material deteriorated and cracked. I’ve actually got a new one from ASOS which was around £30 and quite good quality to tide me over. However, I’ve been looking at this genuine leather jacket from Mango which is currently discounted to £99! Not too bad and hopefully it would last a lot longer as it’s genuine leather.
What are your thoughts on investing in fashion? Do you think it’s worth it? Have you invested in any high-end pieces?
